We'll get into the tour now. Don't forget to look for those mouse traps! As usual, we'll start outside (please forgive the recent catastrophe in the Zen garden, there was a terrible lightning strike the night before):

Overview pictures

A closer look at the landscaping and yard activities

 The Garden

Yard details (looks like someone may need to work on their Bonsai Tree Pruning skills!)

 Orchard

 Going into the zen garden

Small gazebo with small sand garden to tend and relax with

Through the healing space with meditation stools and yoga mats, plus the relaxing sound of flowing water.

Back to the front of the yard shots of the landscaping, a view of the bridge between the house and office.

That's it for the yard! Let's head inside
We begin in the entry room, an inviting space, decorated in welcoming yet muted colors. It has a small bathroom right off of it, as well as the doorway to the rest of the home.

The guest/downstairs bathroom, filled with anything you need. Apparently we've intruded on Dr. Chen as he washes up, he's forgiven us.

Into the rest of the home, the first space is a walkthrough and dining area. This is where you'd find the door to lead toward the separate office, and stairs that go up to the sleeping quarters.

The lovely - small and super effective - kitchen, decorated in earthy tones is just off from the dining space.

Back out past the stairway is the sitting room, or TV room. Looks like we've interrupted Mr. Chen, but he's okay with it.

We'll head up the stairs to the landing, two bedrooms, and full bath
The landing, which has a door to a small balcony with bench

Each bedroom was decorated to reflect the element of fire and autumn, which is supposed to relax your nerves before you fall asleep each night - providing a better rest.
The guest bed, though this room can be converted into anything the Chen's require.

The Master bed, which has the full bath attached to it

Master bath

That's all for visiting the main house. Downstairs in the walkthrough area is a door leading out on a small bridge that will take us to the office space.

A view of the front entry to the office, from the bridge.

A view of the backyard from the bridge

Now, we can get into that office space. This is where Dr. and Mr. Chen meet their clients.

That completes the tour! Here are some overhead pictures, to help see the entire layout:

Well it looks like we covered everything! I hope you liked the house. Your visit is really appreciated. Did you find those mousetraps? Not too tough I bet!

  1. this is so beautiful! The houses are very well designed and I love the little bridge between them. The bright red against the dark green creates an awesome look. Also the landscaping is so pretty, all the tiny stones, that must have been work for days! ❤
