Highbrow Library - TS4

Hey! Welcome to the Highbrow Library. My first community build. Also, my first free modern build! I've copied an IRL modern home before, but never built one on my own. I have to say, it was fun and enlightening. I hope you enjoy the tour!

The Highbrow Library is sure to stand out in any town. There are lots of different areas to visit, any one of them to suit your sims needs. Plenty of books to keep you studying well into the night (if the library would just stay open!) If you do stay late, there's an adorable cafe with any of your coffee needs! There's also a fun section for your kids to play in, or read in, while you can find a quieter place. Speaking of quieter place, this library has a space especially for that. Out in the open air we have a great little garden to practice your yoga or just meditate. It's always a good way to calm down, or focus yourself into your studies. Sims utilize it often.

Lets start outside with our tour. There's a good sized parking lot for your sims here, and great views all the way around.

Now we'll explore the inside. Ground floor first. After each section, I'll give you some overhead views to see it as a whole.

First we'll see the entrance and the parking lot, which is always near full because everyone loves this place!

The ground floor consists of the foyer space which includes a display case full of books for sale! This is also where you'd get to the first covered outdoor reading space, or the kids area. Also the stairway to the second story.

This outdoor reading area is just waiting for someone to come enjoy the fresh air, but be out of the direct sunshine. Comfy benches all around for plenty of seating.

The kids zone has everything a little one will need. Plenty of toddler books or toys to go around. A small seating area for any parent who wishes to sit and read to their child, or just sit and watch the antics.

Here's an overhead of the ground floor:

This would be the second story, where you'll find the computer area, bathrooms, and chess place. After we explore inside, I'll give you an overhead pictures.

The restrooms, which include a place for your kitty, if you happen to bring him or her!

The outside area of the second floor is really inviting, it has plenty of places to sit and enjoy the fresh air while you read. There are two chess tables for your enjoyment as well. Plus a tiny nook under the stairs for a little more privacy. This is where the stairs are that lead up to the third story.

The overview angle of the outdoor space:

The third floor of the Highbrow Library is one of my favorite places to be. It has a great reading area, the covered outdoor cafe, and the Zen Zone. The Zen Zone is where you can go to relax, unwind, or focus your mind before you start your studies. Maybe even after, if studying stresses you out.

The Zen Zone:

Here's the outdoor cafe, where there's food available and a fair supply of coffee mugs to go around.

Some views of the cafe from outside of the building:

The overhead showing of the third floor:

Now for the rooftop, which isn't a rooftop at all but yet another place to relax and read in the sunshine. There's also a writing desk up here, for those that enjoy writing outside. Perhaps the view from the roof might give some great inspiration!

Just some more pictures of the outside of the Highbrow Library.

That concludes the tour of the brand new Highbrow Library. Thanks for checking it out! Feel free to comment, give suggestions, or just say hello! Info on the library below.

This lot is available for download here: Highbrow Library
The cost of the lot is §100,000 even.
The Highbrow Library was built for a BnS challenge! Go to BnS#86 Library for Newcrest for more information. The deal was to make a modern and progressive library. This is pretty modern for sure! It's progressive because the place utilizes every available space for a sims betterment, and is great for the environment! (I actually have no idea what 'progressive' meant, but that was my take xD) It was built in Newcrest on the Sandy Run lot, which is 20 x 40. It contains everything a library needs to function as an actual library. Enjoy it in your up and coming town!

Thanks for viewing my first community lot!
